Occupying a renovated Colonial warehouse, Union Street Public House has been serving revolutionary American cuisine in a warm and lively atmosphere since 1986. Locals and out-of-towners alike flock to the waterfront location for fresh seafood, grilled steaks, and a taste of Old Town's "favorite tap and grill."


Choose from small plates to share like Smoked BBQ Ribs or Calamari. Our oysters are shucked fresh and served raw on the half shell by the half dozen or dozen. Or try Lobster Mac & Cheese with butter poached Maine lobster, four cheese sauce, and charred cherry tomato for a delicious treat. Taproom favorites include My Bar My Rules Sandwich, Jumbo Lump Crabcakes, Fish and Chips, and the Lobster Roll. Steaks, seafood, and fresh fish like Herb Roasted Salmon are served from local farms and coastal waters. 


Union Street also features the best of the area's local and hand-crafted brews along with an extensive wine list. Growlers of beer and bottles of wine are available for carry-out. 

200 Years in the Making

Old Town’s historic charm and gracious hospitality is always on tap at Union Street Public House. Here, in our beautifully renovated 1790 warehouse, we serve exceptional American cuisine crafted with a Southern twist by Executive Chef, Mark Reyburn. Drawing from the bounty of local farms and waters, Brendan creates memorable dishes that celebrate the freshest ingredients. Wine and brew offerings feature a wide array of local beers and varietals, and our Whiskey Bar has spirits to warm even the coldest nights. Union Street Public House is where everyone gathers for good times and great cheer.


"We held our 46 person wedding reception in the Regatta Room and attached Whiskey Bar, and could not be happier with how everything turned out. Leading up to the wedding, Katie and Cheryl were incredibly helpful and responsive. We decided to go with the Passed Appetizers, the Gold drink package, and a two course meal with strawberry goat cheese salad for everyone and an option between steak, chicken, and crab cakes. The only thing that rivaled the amazing food (the crab cakes are to die for), was the excellent service. Our servers and bar tenders were quick, spot on, and incredibly kind. They worked tirelessly all night and I can safely say everyone had an amazing time as a result. The space also looked absolutely gorgeous with our decorations, and just how we imagined. I am so, so grateful we chose Union Street Public House for our wedding day!"
